Wang Qinsong

Born in Daqing, inthe province of Heilongjiang, China. He lives and works in Beijing. He has a degree from the Academy of Fine Arts of Sichuan, China. Although he has chosen painting for his college degree, he has dedicated his career to big scale photography. Considered one of the most critic chinese artists, his massive photographies dicuss politic themes like education, imigration, publicity and media.

He started exhibiting in the Taipei Biennial and since then he has participated in several solo and group exhibitions all over the world. Among the places he has exhibit are Turin, São Paulo, Fukukoa, Munich, New York, Madrid, Seoul, San Diego, Montpellier, Havana, Rome, Curitiba, Beijing. He has integrated the 10th International Venice Architecture Exhibition, Venice Biennale. He had solo exhibitions in the Galerie Loft, Paris; Albion Galery, London; ECCO, Brasília; International Center of Photography, New York; Koege Museum, Denmark. In 2006, he was awarded with the Outreach Award from Renocontres de le Photographie, Arles, France.
